• There is no application fee for Kendriya Vidyalaya Class 1 admissions. The registration and admission process for Class 1 is completely free of cost for all applicants.

Age Limit

✅ Minimum Age: 6 years as of March 31, 2025
✅ Maximum Age: 8 years as of March 31, 2025

This means the child's date of birth should fall between April 1, 2017, and March 31, 2019 (both dates inclusive).

🔹 No age relaxation is provided, except for children with disabilities, as per government norms.

Exam

Eligibility

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has initiated the online registration process for Class 1 admissions for the academic year 2025-2026. The registration window opened on March 7, 2025, and will remain open until March 21, 2025.

• The child must be at least 6 years old as of March 31, 2025.
• The maximum age limit is 8 years as of March 31, 2025.
• Date of Birth Range: Between April 1, 2017, and March 31, 2019 (both dates inclusive).
• Age Relaxation: Up to 2 years relaxation for differently-abled children.

✅ Nationality:

• The child must be an Indian citizen. Foreign nationals are eligible only under specific categories.

✅ Admission Priority:

1. Category 1: Children of Central Government employees (including Defence & Paramilitary personnel).
2. Category 2: Children of State Government employees.
3. Category 3: Children of private sector employees (if seats remain).
4. Category 4: Children of foreign nationals (subject to availability).

 Go to the KVS Online Admission Portal:
 https://kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in

Register Online

• Click on “Click Here to Register” on the homepage.
• Read the instructions carefully and proceed.
• Enter basic details (Parent’s name, Mobile number, Email ID, etc.).
• Generate and note down your Login ID and Password.

⃣ Fill in the Application Form

• Log in with the registered Login ID and Password.
• Enter the child’s details (Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, etc.).
• Provide parent/guardian details (Occupation, Government/Private sector, etc.).
• Select up to three preferred KVs (in case seats are full in one school).
• Upload required documents (Birth Certificate, Caste Certificate, etc.).

4️⃣ Submit the Application Form

• Review all the details carefully.
• Click on "Submit" to finalize the application.
• Download and print the Application Form for future reference.

Exam Mode:

🔹 No Entrance Exam for Class 1 Admission

• Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) does NOT conduct any entrance exam for Class 1 admission.
• Admission is based on an online lottery system if the number of applicants exceeds the available seats.

🔹 Selection Process

• Priority Category System (Children of Government Employees, SC/ST/OBC, etc.).
• Random Lottery Draw for General Category Applicants.
• RTE (Right to Education) Act Seats are allotted through lottery for economically weaker sections (EWS).
