Eligibility Overview
1. Educational Qualification
- Laboratory Technician:
- Must have completed Class 12 (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
- Additionally, you need either a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or a Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) to be eligible.
- Senior Laboratory Technician:
- Option A: M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / Applied Microbiology / General Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry (with or without DMLT) along with at least 2 years of experience in TB laboratory testing (genotypic or phenotypic).
- Option B: B.Sc. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Life Sciences / Botany / Zoology with DMLT and a minimum of 3 years of TB laboratory testing experience.
2. Age Requirements
- Minimum age: 21 years.
- Maximum age: typically 37 years for general category, with relaxations applicable per government rules for reserved categories.
