The State Health Society, Bihar (SHSB) has released a major recruitment notification for Medical Officer posts under the National Health Mission (NHM). This Bihar SHS Medical Officer Recruitment 2025 aims to strengthen the healthcare workforce across the state, particularly in rural and underserved regions.
This year’s recruitment drive offers a total of 3,341 vacancies, which include 2,619 posts for AYUSH Medical Officers and 722 posts for Allopathic Medical Officers. The AYUSH category covers Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, and Unani Medical Officers, while Allopathic Medical Officers will be recruited through walk-in interviews.
The eligibility criteria are straightforward: candidates must have completed MBBS or BAMS/BHMS/BUMS from a recognized institution along with a one-year mandatory internship. A valid registration with the respective medical council is also required.
