The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) conducts the recruitment examination for the post of Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) under the Excise & Vigilance Department of Bihar.
|
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university (as of 01 August 2024).
- Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen.

- General/OBC (Male): Height 165 cm, Chest 81-86 cm (expanded)
- SC/ST (Male): Height 160 cm, Chest 79-84 cm (expanded)
- Female (All Categories): Height 155 cm
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Running: Male - 1.6 km in 6 min | Female - 1 km in 6 min
- Long Jump: Male - 12 feet | Female - 9 feet
- High Jump: Male - 4 feet | Female - 3 feet
- Shot Put: Male - 16-pound (16 feet) | Female - 12-pound (10 feet)

Exam Mode
- The BPSSC SI Prohibition 2024 exam will be conducted in Offline Mode (OMR-Based Test).

Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Examination
- Total Marks: 200
- Questions: 100
- Duration: 2 hours
- Subjects: General Knowledge & Current Affairs
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks per wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum 30% required
Mains Examination
- Paper 1: General Hindi (100 Questions, 200 Marks, 30% Qualifying Marks)
- Paper 2: General Studies, Mathematics & Reasoning (100 Questions, 200 Marks)
