Educational Qualification requirement for Indian Navy SSC Officer Recruitment 2025 as per the official notification:

Indian Navy SSC Officer – Education Qualification 2025

The qualification depends on the branch you are applying for.

1. Executive Branch

• General Service (GS/X) – BE/B.Tech in any discipline with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.
• Air Traffic Controller (ATC) – BE/B.Tech in any discipline with 60% marks and 10+2 level Physics & Maths.
• Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC) – BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation with 60% marks.

2. Education Branch

• M.Sc. (Maths/Operational Research) with Physics at Graduation level,
• OR M.Sc. (Physics/Applied Physics) with Maths at Graduation,
• OR M.Sc. (Chemistry) with Physics at Graduation,
• OR BE/B.Tech in Engineering/Technology disciplines with minimum 60% marks.

3. Technical Branch

• Engineering Branch (General Service) – BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Production, Metallurgy, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering & Management, or equivalent, with 60% marks.
• Electrical Branch (General Service) – BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Avionics, Power Engineering, or equivalent with 60% marks.

Nationality

• Must be a citizen of India.

Indian Navy SSC Officer – Physical Standards 2025

1. Height Requirements

• Men: Minimum 157 cm
• Women: Minimum 152 cm
• Relaxation: For candidates from certain regions (e.g., North East, Garhwal, Andaman & Nicobar, Lakshadweep, tribal areas), relaxation of 2–5 cm is applicable as per Navy rules.

2. Weight

• Should be proportionate to height and age as per Navy medical standards.

3. Vision Standards

• Unaided Vision: 6/12
• Corrected with Glasses: 6/6
• Colour Perception: CP II (Normal colour vision required)

4. General Medical Standards

• Candidate must be physically and mentally fit for naval duties.
• No history of mental illness, seizures, or major chronic diseases.
• No physical disabilities like knock knees, flat feet, or deformities.
• Ears must be free from wax; hearing should be normal.

5. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) (During Training)

• For Men:
  • 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds
  • 20 squats
  • 10 push-ups
• For Women:
  • 1.6 km run in 8 minutes
  • 15 squats
  • 10 push-ups
