RPSC JLO 2025 Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the post of Junior Legal Officer (JLO) will be done in multiple stages. Candidates must qualify each stage to move forward in the recruitment process.

  1. Written Examination
    • Objective type exam based on Law subjects, Constitution, and General Knowledge.
    • Divided into papers covering Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitution of India, etc.
    • Minimum qualifying marks are required in each paper.
  2. Interview / Personality Test
    • Candidates shortlisted from the written exam will be called for interview.
    • The interview will test subject knowledge, communication skills, and suitability for the post.
  3. Document Verification (DV)
    • Shortlisted candidates must present original documents like LLB Degree, Category Certificate, ID Proof, etc.
    • Failure to produce valid documents will lead to disqualification.
  4. Medical Examination
    • Final shortlisted candidates will undergo a medical fitness test.
    • Only medically fit candidates will be considered for final appointment.

RPSC JLO 2025 Salary & Pay Scale

  • Pay Level: Level-10 (as per 7th Pay Commission, Rajasthan Government)
  • Basic Pay: ₹56,100 per month (starting)
  • Grade Pay / Allowances: Eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other allowances as per Rajasthan Govt. rules.
  • Total Salary (Approx.): ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month including all allowances (varies based on post location and other benefits).
