Eligibility criteria for Bihar Labour Card Registration 2025

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be a resident of Bihar
  • Must be a construction worker / unorganised sector worker as defined under the Act
  • Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 60 years
  • Must have worked at least 90 days in the last 12 months in construction or related work
  • Should not be an employee in any government / organised sector service
  • Must submit valid proof of identity, age, residence, and employment while applying

Bihar Labour Card Registration – Step by Step Process

Online Process

  1. Visit the official portal: bocwscheme.bihar.gov.in
  2. Click on “New Registration” under Worker Registration Via CSC.
  3. Fill in all required details: name, address, Aadhaar number, mobile number.
  4. Upload scanned documents.
  5. Pay the registration fee (if applicable).
  6. Submit your form and note the registration number.
  7. After verification, your Labour Card will be generated.

Offline Process

  • Visit the nearest Labour Department Office / BOCW Office.
  • Collect the registration form, fill it up, attach documents, and submit.
  • After approval, the labour card will be issued.

How to Check Application Status

  • Go to the same official portal.
  • Select Check Registration Status.
  • Enter your Aadhaar or Registration Number.
  • The status of your application will be displayed.
