Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2025

1. Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

2. Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university by 01.08.2025.

3. Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

• UR (Male): 20–37 years
• UR (Female): 20–40 years
• BC/EBC (Male & Female): 20–40 years
• SC/ST (Male & Female) & Transgender: 20–42 years
• Relaxations: Govt. servants (+5 years), Ex-servicemen as per rules.

4. Physical Standards:

• Height (Male): UR/BC/EBC – 165 cm | SC/ST – 160 cm
• Height (Female): All categories – 155 cm
• Chest (Male only): 81 cm (UR/BC/EBC), 79 cm (SC/ST) – with 5 cm expansion
• Weight (Female): Minimum 48 kg

Selection Process

Recruitment will be based on three stages:

1. Written Examination (Preliminary & Main)
   • Prelims: 200 marks, 100 questions (General Knowledge & Current Affairs), 2 hours. Qualifying – 30%.
   • Mains (Two Papers):
     • Paper I: General Hindi (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours) – qualifying with 30%.
     • Paper II: General Studies, Science, Civics, History, Geography, Math, Reasoning (200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours).
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
   • Race: Male – 1 mile in 6 min 30 sec; Female – 1 km in 6 min.
   • High Jump: Male – 4 feet; Female – 3 feet.
   • Long Jump: Male – 12 feet; Female – 9 feet.
   • Shot Put: Male – 16 lbs, 16 feet; Female – 12 lbs, 10 feet.
3. Medical Test & Document Verification

Documents Required for Bihar Police SI Recruitment 2025

1. At the Time of Online Application

• Valid Mobile Number & Email ID (mandatory for registration & future communication).
• Scanned Photograph (passport size, 15–25 KB, JPG/JPEG/GIF, light background).
• Scanned Signature (in Hindi & English, black/blue ink, 15–25 KB, JPG/JPEG/GIF).

2. At the Time of Physical Test / Document Verification

Candidates must bring originals with self-attested photocopies:

1. Matriculation/10th Certificate – for Date of Birth proof.
2. Graduation/Equivalent Degree Certificate – proof of educational qualification (as on 01.08.2025).
3. Caste Certificate – for SC/ST/BC/EBC/EWS (as per Bihar Govt. rules).
4. Domicile Certificate – if claiming state reservation benefits.
5. EWS Certificate – if applying under Economically Weaker Section quota.
6. Certificate for Dependents of Freedom Fighters (if applicable).
7. Certificate for Ex-Servicemen (if applicable).
8. Certificate for Govt. Employees (if applicable for age relaxation).
9. Transgender Certificate – issued by competent authority (if applicable).
10. No Objection Certificate (NOC) – if already working in a Govt. department/service.
11. Medical Fitness Certificate – as per prescribed format before final selection.

3. At the Final Stage (Before Appointment)

• Character Certificate
• Medical Report (after medical test)
• Police Verification Report
